Finding the Right Pneumatic Conveying System

Pneumatic Conveying Systems deliver raw materials (usually powders and/or pellets) to extruders, mixers, coolers and other vessels and process points throughout a manufacturing facility. Selecting the right system depends on material characteristics, distance, rate requirements, and the sensitivity of the product to degradation.

O.A. Newton evaluates each application individually. Factors such as bulk density, particle size, abrasiveness, and moisture content all influence whether dilute phase, dense phase, or a hybrid approach is appropriate. Our test lab allows us to validate conveying parameters before full-scale design.

The goal is a system that moves material reliably at the required rate without compromising product quality or creating unnecessary maintenance burdens. Getting this right at the design stage saves significant cost over the life of the installation.
